As a client, you maintain some control over your costs, which
will vary depending on what your case is about and how you choose
to proceed. An initial retainer will usually be required with a
degree of flexibility. If your matter can be quickly resolved,
the initial retainer often covers all costs for you legal representation.
If your case is more involved you will have the option of a flat
fee, which provides you with some cost certainty, or you can choose
to pay an hourly rate.
Some Legal Aid certificates are accepted but this is not always
possible. Legal Aid coverage has also become more difficult to obtain
and it is often the case that people who clearly require legal assistance
are not able to obtain a Legal Aid certificate. We can discuss this
and you can check online for more information.
