About Will Murray

Will Murray is  passionate about issues of fairness. He'll work tirelessly to ensure that his clients get the very best possible result. While working for individual private clients is his vocation, he's also had success with larger societal issues.  Some of his particular interests involve mental health law, the limiting of urban sprawl, the protection of the Ottawa River environment and transparency in government. His concern about the increased marginalisation of certain groups, as part of society becoming more fragmented, led him to the practice of criminal law.

Will Murray has three degrees, including a Master in Laws from the London School of Economics, a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an  LL.B. Is from the University of Manitoba.  He was born and raised in Ottawa and attended Lisgar Collegiate. Will hikes and plays many sports but achieved most success in soccer which he continues to play, as an 'Old-Timer'. He also enjoys weights, yoga and dodgeball.

Will Murray had the honour of being the NDP provincial candidate in 2007 for Ottawa Centre, narrowly losing by less that 5% of total votes cast, increasing the number of votes by over 40% over the previous election result. He continues to be engaged in politics and community activism in Ottawa.
